Maternity photoshoot in Balboa park, San Diego

Ana from Brazil and Zak from Florida, US met all the way in Japan and moved continents to settle down in San Diego, and I am so glad they did because San Diego and Southern California in general including locations like Coronado island, Palm Springs, Orange County are truly photographer’s paradise and have so much to offer for any kind of a photoshoot.

Ana and Zak originally hired me for a pregnancy announcement photoshoot we did on Coronado island by the hotel Del last fall, and for the maternity session Ana chose San Diego’s cultural treasure, Balboa Park. Being the largest urban cultural park in North America, Balboa with it’s stunning architecture and picturesque scenery is one of the best spots for belly bump pictures in San Diego. Cactus garden, Spreckels Organ Pavilion, Alcazar garden and of course my favorite - the famous park fig tree. I think that tree has some maternal energy because a lot of my mommies-to-be clients looove to take picture in those roots.

I have joined the group of talented photographers from all over the world for a blog circle challenge. We link to each other’s websites and this month I am linked to Annika Block, a Child Photographer in West London. Annika had not just a family but a family with a dog in her studio (my dog would be so jealous if I brought another dog here!) for this session and the pictures turned out so cute!
